My EKM dash appears on my desktop, which is fine. To log a reading i have to open the program and start reading. Is there a way to automatically download one reading per day without my computer being turned on? Thanks in advance.

Re: readings
Hello Roy,
In order to read your metes with the EKM Dash software, you would need to have your computer running. The computer has to initialize the communications with the meter, the meter responds, and the computer then records the meter data.
The best alternative to this is if you have an EKM Omnimeter, you can use the EKM Push gateway to read your meters. This is a standalone gateway that automatically reads your meters and sends your data to a central database. We store the latest 1000 reads. Some customers have us set their meter read rate to one per hour so that we store the latest 1000 hours for them. Using the EKM Push means you do not have to have a computer running or the Dash software running for this to work. The data is available when you want to retrieve it from our servers. You can also choose to have places like wattvision.com or pvoutput.org retrieve and display your data for you.

Thanks!
