Setting Pulse output constant
In http://documents.ekmmetering.com/Omnime ... otocol.pdf, I see how to set the pulse input ratios, but not the pulse output ratio. Is it settable over serial?
Re: Setting Pulse output constant
The EKM-Omnimeter Pulse v.4 has a "regular pulse output" as well as a "settable pulse output".
Say you wanted it to pulse 1 time per kWh (rather than the 800 per kWh that the regular pulse output does)
You can set this just like you set other settings in the meter. We have not yet implemented this in the EKM Dash, but we are working on it (I would guess 8-10 more days).
You will also be able to reset the "resettable kWh" registers, select what you want to have displayed on the LCD screen of the meter, and setup auto reset of Max Demand. These will be resettable over USB, RS232, or EKM-iSerial.
If you have any questions, please let us know.

Re: Setting Pulse output constant
I understand the concepts, I'm just looking for which line in the PDF is related to the settable pulse output. Is it the "Imp/KWh constant?"
Re: Setting Pulse output constant
Here is the section you will want to focus on for setting the "Settable Pulse Output Ratio"
Set Imp/kWh Constant. Example: Settable impulse constant to 20 Imp/kWh
01 57 31 02 30 30 44 34 28 30 30 32 30 29 03 05 6b
Blue is the Parameter you want to set, Green is the Setting you will make.
Take a look at figure 6 of this document: http://documents.ekmmetering.com/EKM-Om ... -Sheet.pdf
The "Settable Input Constant Range" is the options you have available for a given CT Ratio. If you have a meter set to 800 amp CTs you can have a "Settable Pulse Output Ratio" of 200:1、100:1、50:1、40:1、25:1、20:1、10:1、8:1、5:1、4:1、2:1、or 1:1
If you are unclear on the steps needed to make settings in the meter, you will find the EKM Dash - Hex Inspector useful. Try making settings to your CT ratio in your meter and "see" how the Hex Inspector shows you how this is done. Steps to make a setting in the meter: Meter Request > Meter Response > Password > Meter Responds with OK > Meter Setting > Meter Responds with OK > Close String
If you have any questions we are happy to help.
