bigger 600A CT's or run in parallel?
Hi Everyone, I am connecting a Omnimeter II v.3 (3phase - 4wire) to a new Cummins diesel genset that puts out 600A per leg. I ordered the EMK 600A solid CT rings (only type offered by EKM for 600A) and these have a 45mm inner diameter. I am running three electrical cables in parallel for each phase ...

Re: Help troubleshooting - one phase much lower
Thanks Jameson. I just wanted to send an note on the final outcome on this. My meter was somehow faulty and it was quickly swapped out for a new one. I know it was a new one as the serial number was changed. I got my new meter and got it installed. And it is finally running on all cylinders (ie. cha...

Re: Help troubleshooting - one phase much lower
Hi Jameson, We checked all the contacts and they are solid and connected as well as the snapped CT rings. The expected reading on phase 1 (CT ring connection 1 & 2) is 4 times lower than it should be as measured by two other ammeters. We measured 180 amps on the other meters but only 45 amps on ...

Help troubleshooting - one phase much lower
Hi EKM, I am running the Omnimeter 4.0 into the iSerial. It is connected and working and I can see my measurements through the Dash software, but I am having a problem with one phase. It is reading much lower than expected and lower when compared to a Fluke ammeter. Voltage, frequency and other read...

Re: Dash feature request
Hi Jameson, Thanks for the reply. I really appreciate your interactions with users through this blog. Is there capability to get a real-time data stream import into excel using the "get external data" function with the Omnimeter v4 & iSerial hardware set-up? I see that this is possible...

Dash feature request
Hi EKM, Got my Omnimeter v4 operational and connect to an iSerial to get the data flowing through our LAN. And I was successful (after using the "Discover" feature in the EKM Dash software) to see my data flowing using the Dash software. So it is all working correctly and I am somewhat hap...

Re: Pressure readings
Thanks for the quick reply. I was hoping for a solution with a more granular output than on/off at 40psi! Plus I already have plans to fill the other two pulsed inputs into my OmniMeter v.4. One for domestic water coming in from land (as I mentioned already) and the other two to monitor the saltwate...

Pressure readings
Hi EKM, I just received my Omnimeter v.4 and I am very excited to get it installed and remotely read the pulsed water meter for our floating restaurant. As you can imagine, an unwatched broken dockside waterline inside a vessel can be a very dangerous situation. But my question is not about measurin...
