Re: RS485
Hi Jameson, Below is the settings I did exactly like advised on your website. I could get the meter working properly once for a while by doing power cycle meter, PC and USB unplug...I cannot come up with an exact way to make it always work! //Setting the Baud rate cfsetispeed(&SerialPortSettings...

Re: Timezones not aligning correctly
This does not happen very often, it could be one for an hour or one for a few hours so it is fairly tricky to watch and stop. But I might try to write another code to catch all hex data for you to look at. I experienced about bad data with V4 meter and the data from V4 gets screwed up as giving out ...

Re: Timezones not aligning correctly
Thanks a lot Jameson for the internal clock instruction, I will try and get back to you on the result. Regarding CRC, yes CRC came out correctly but bad data, like the year was 18 and then I received 0 one for a while, and of course other data was wrong too. The period was fairly random, the data wa...

Re: Timezones not aligning correctly
I am reading my meter via RS485. Can you advise where to change internal clock? I can not find info from ekm website about writing to internal clock. One more thing I noticed that the meter gives out bad data one for a while, I do have CRC check and it always checked out correctly when bad data show...

Re: RS485
Hi, I bought a brand new v3 meter (sn:000000023138) and did exactly the reading as advised in ekm website. request: 2F 3F 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 32 33 31 33 38 21 0D 0A However, the response out of the meter seems to be messed up. There is not enough 255 bytes and the number of bytes is random. From t...
