Re: New User

Great to hear! Sorry, no we do not offer free shipping. We try to charge just what it takes to ship (we dont try to make money on shipping). If you want to ship faster it will cost more. We let you decide. If you ship by a normal method within the US, we ship using USPS Priority in most cases and it...

Re: New User

Hello Tacman7, Yes, you can use any of our Omnimeter models to help you with your Time-of-Use (TOU) billing. Our Omnimeters keep track of 4 separate TOU tariff rates internally so that you can tell exactly how many kWh you have used in the On Peak Hours, Off Peak Hours, Sholder, Super Peak. The mete...

Re: UL or No UL

No the UL Listed Enclosure would just be part of a UL Listed installation. It would not be a UL Listed install if you did not use a UL Listed meter inside the UL Listed Enclosure. For a UL Listed Install you have to use a UL Listed Enclosure, UL Listed Fuse Holders, and a UL Listed Meter, along with...

Re: UL or No UL

Hello m1sacs, The need for UL listing really depends on your local jurisdiction and building codes. You can ask your local building department if they require it. Many building inspectors like to see the UL mark, even if they dont really need it according to their code. If you are unsure if you will...

Re: gas meter adapter

Our 3/4" gas meters come with 2 3/4" NPT fittings. These are tapered thread 3/4" fittings. Can you get them to work with your pipe size? What pipe size do you have? I am not clear what issue you are having, do you have EKM Metering 3/4" gas meters? Will you post a photo of the issue you are having?

Re: EKM Dash Software - Start Meter Reading on Application Open

Your EKM Dash software should start to read your meter after about 30 seconds of first starting up. If you have your EKM Dash software set to read meters, then you quit your Dash, and then start it again, it will wait for about 30 seconds and then start reading your meters again. If your Dash is set...

Hello! Welcome to the forum. Thank you for letting us know about the issue you are seeing. Our Omnimeters are set to 7 data bits, EVEN Parity, 1 Stop Bit, and No Flow Control. We just tried changing the setting to NO Parity and did not get a response from the Omnimeter. When we set it back to EVEN P...

Re: EKM Dash software not working when in background (MacOS High Sierra)

If you have reliability issues with your 230 volt supply of power, I would probably resort to a UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) for your networking gear. Something similar to this: https://www.amazon.com/APC-Back-UPS-325VA-230Volt-battery/dp/B00066HV46 The UPS should take over when you have a power...

Re: Accessing old meter data

Hello Sunpack, The Omnimeter Pulse v.4 does not store historical data about pulse counts. The only data that it stores is the 6 months of monthly kWh data. https://help.ekmmetering.com/support/solutions/articles/6000076004-do-your-meters-have-onboard-storage-data-logging- You will need to connect yo...

Re: solar loads

The solar pump you need will depend on what you are trying to do. You will need to know: What is the pressure? What is the required flow? What is the diameter of your pipe? AC or DC? Direct Solar Powered? Efficiency requirements? Im sure there are other questions. There is a big difference between a...
