Re: Using Omnimeter II UL3.0 to measure usage and export

Hello Maverick and welcome to the forum! There are a few ways to look at this and it will depend on what you want to achieve. If you are wanting to know how much energy is being pullled from the grid and how much is being pushed back to the grid from your solar panels, then just 1 Omnimeter will be ...

Re: End of month Total KWH reading

Hey Bill, It sounds like you are on tiered pricing. This is where you get charged more per kWh if you exceed a monthly threshold of kWh usage. The best way to achieve what you are looking for at this point would be to read your meter with a computer on a regular basis (once a day or more) and then t...

Re: The T's

Hello Bill, Thanks for getting back to us. There is no break at midnight (0:00). In my previous example TOU1 starts at 10:00, runs for 4 hours, then changes to TOU2 at 14:00, runs for 4 and a half hours, then changes to TOU3 at 18:30, runs for 7 and a half hours, changes to TOU4 at 2:00 and runs for...

Re: The T's

Bill, Not a problem at all! 1) Total kWh is Forward kWh + Reverse kWh. To calculate Forward kWh only: Forward kWh = Total kWh - Reverse kWh 2) Yes you can set your meter to keep track of up to 4 Time-of-Use periods. You can make these settings by using the EKM Dash software. Once you have a meter se...

Re: The T's

Hello Bill, Here are the kWh values that are returned on the Omnimeter RS-485: Total kWh (forward kWh TOU1,TOU2,TOU3,TOU4 + reverse kWh TOU1,TOU2,TOU3,TOU4) TOU1 Total kWh TOU2 Total kWh TOU3 Total kWh TOU4 Total kWh Reverse kWh (reverse kWh TOU1,TOU2,TOU3,TOU4) TOU1 Reverse kWh TOU2 Reverse kWh TOU...

Re: iSerial error

Hello Ed, I would be interested to see if power cycling the iSerial clears the issue. I have not seen this behavior before (it seems like some sort of weird locked state). Of course if it is an ongoing problem with your iSerial we will gladly replace it. The ACT light will only light up for the frac...

Re: iSerial error

Hello Ed, This is a new one  Can you let us know when you receive this message? Is it when you are trying to log into the iSerial through your web browser to make settings, when you are using the older EKM Reader software, or when you are using the new EKM Dash software? What steps were taken ...

Re: Question re:Max Demand and Power factor

Thanks Bill, We would be curious to know why you will need or like to reset Max Demand every 5 minutes. Is this how you are billed? The EKM Dash can be set to periodically reset the Max Demand inside your meters for you. We will be adding some more options for how often this will happen in the near ...

Re: Question re:Max Demand and Power factor

1. Can you explain to me just how "Max Demand Works" Your new "Dash" software seem to indicate that it resets. Software shows a count down to reset. How does the 15/30/60 intervals work. Average ? over the interval? Does Max Demand mean (=) Peak Demand from the last time it was ...

Re: stored information in omnimeter I v.3?

Hello and welcome to the forum. The best way to get the most information out of your meter on a real-time or daily basis is to continually read all of your meters and store that data on your computer (on in the case of the EKM Push, in the central EKM Push web database). The meters do not store much...
