Re: Dash Locks up and can't be closed
xAPPO, We wanted to make sure that you have downloaded the latest version of the EKM Dash (v0.405). This version has some major improvements to the stability of running on Windows 7 64 bit. Here is the EKM Dash page: http://www.ekmmetering.com/ekmdash If you run the latest version and find any issue...

Re: EKM Push
Hello Jens! Welcome to the forum. It is a bit too soon to tell how long this might take, but we are actively working on integrating the Omnimeter Pulse v.4 into the EKM Push system. A conservative guesstimate would be about 8 weeks. The nice part about this is that it will be a remote upgrade of the...

Re: New v4 Meter Read Regular Data Error
Hello Ed,
I would suspect that the email message has something to do with your email SMTP settings. I get the same error message you are getting when I use bogus SMTP settings in the EKM Dash email settings.
Thanks,

Re: Reading meter using PHP
Hey this is VERY cool ;) Thank you so much for sharing! We love this type of collaboration. Can you give us a hand on how to set it up? We have tried to host the code on our web server: http://documents.ekmmetering.com/EKM-php-reader.php When you go to this URL you get: Parse error: syntax error, un...

Re: New v4 Meter Read Regular Data Error
Ed, Good to hear you got it working! Yes you are correct that the Omnimeter Pulse v.4 meters have a meter number that look like: 000300001234 (if you miss the leading 3 when setting it up in the EKM Dash software, the meter will not respond) There are 40 values displayed on the the LCD screen out of...

Re: Socket Error
It is always a good idea when setting up to read your meters with a computer or EKM Push to start simply and add complexity as you go. Install in this order: Install 1 meter (in the case of an Omnimeter install the CTs and then the voltage reference lines) Install the RS485 twisted pair data wire Ma...

Re: Dash Locks up and can't be closed
Hello,
Just out of curiosity, which COM port is the USB converter becoming on your Windows 7 64 bit computer? Is it COM3 or COM4? Or something else?
I am not seeing the issue you are here on our Windows 7 64 bit machine.
Thanks,

Re: Dash Locks up and can't be closed
Thanks for your reply, 305m in length of data wire should not be a problem. We have set up coils of 4000+ feet of CAT5 cable here and can get 1000 out of 1000 good reads. I would also suspect that this would not be causing a stability issue in the EKM Dash software. Do you have other applications ru...

Re: metering a circuit normally off
Do you have high voltage AC power nearby that you can use to power the meter? Do you have this available on the building side of the disconnect switch? If you do, I would connect the meter voltage reference wires there. The meter will be powered and will get its voltage reference. You can then have ...

Re: Dash Locks up and can't be closed
Hello xAPPO, Welcome to the forum and thanks for using our meters! Thanks for letting us know. v.390 is kind of a pre-release (did you get it from the all.zip file?). Do you have this same issue with v.383? I would like to narrow down this issue, in case it has to do with the new features of v.390. ...
