Hi Jameson,
I've check the connections multiple times this morning and I've tried to set the meter number to 999999999999, but I still get the same result. I confirmed that the ACT light is blinking about once every 5 seconds, the LINK light is blinking continuously and the POWER light is on all the time. However, the results are the same.
I will send a message to info@ekmmetering.com to arrange for a new iSerial device. Do I need to put any reference?
Thanks again for all your help.
Kind regards,

Hi vdoshi,

Did the new iserial work for you. I have exactly the same issue. EKM Dash is giving me: "Read Regular Data Error" I tried a new iserial that I had for a second install, but it did not help. I have only one meter and everything is connect as you have. My ACT light is flashing when I'am requesting data but I cannot read the meter. On the meter display I can read all the values. I'am using EKM dash ver 345.

This what hex inspector is giving me:

Meter Number: 10001116
Meter Model: EKM-OmniMeter v.3
Address: 192.168.105.242
Port: 50000

pbless,

Thank you for your question on the forum.

We ended up having to send Vdoshi a replacement iSerial  We have not heard how that has worked out for him.

Thank you very much for sending us your Hex Data grab from the Hex Inspector window of the EKM Dash, this is helpful.

We have spotted the problem you are having and will work to fix it in the next release of the EKM Dash. It has to do with the newest batch of Omnimeter v.3 UL. It has a response string that is not recognized by the latest version of the Dash (1 byte is altered that we did not expect). This will be an easy fix, and we will let you know when we have this fix.

Sorry for this inconvenience.

Hi Jameson,

Thanks for your update.

Do you have a time frame for the updated software version ? We are using these meters so that we can size generators and really need to be able to read them.

Thanks

Pbless,

All should be good in the world (of the EKM Dash)

We have updated the latest version of the Dash (and among some other major improvements) it can now read the UL meters with higher Serial numbers. This is referring to version .365 or above. Here is the page to download: http://www.ekmmetering.com/ekmdash
