Very cool to hear you have it working, (you let the cat out of the bag :D )

pvoutput has a tool that works with the legacy API only. At this point the only way to access Push2 data is via the EKM Dash and via the html return. First we have to publish the new API and then get users like pvoutput to transition their tools to the new API.

If you are interested in integrating the data from the new API, here is a link to a tool for creating Push2 calls to the API: http://107.191.48.206:1000/ Play around with it to see some of the new calls and filters you can utilize. We should be publishing the new API docs soon.

Thanks,

Does Push now work with a V4 meter?

I'm not conversant with APIs and such, just need to know if I can hook up my now 2 year old, yet unused Push Communication System #8 to my v.4 #27 and have it work.

Hello Kailua,

Yes, the EKM Push now works with the Omnimeter Pulse v.4 (though still not officially released on our website).

It now works with either the API calls, the EKM Dash software, or the EKM Widget. encompass.io, wattvision.com, and pvoutput.org are still works in progress.

Please email us your information so that we can look up your meters and Push gateway. We will need these to be able to make the associations.

Thanks for your patience ;)

The Push to v.4 is now officially released!!!!!!

You can now connect your EKM Omnimeter Pulse v.4 meters to your EKM Push and get your electricity, water, and gas meter data sent to your EKM Push account.

Here is more information: http://www.ekmmetering.com/meter-data

Thanks,

Great work on the official release.

Please post here when you've been able to get the pvoutput connectivity in place.

That direct connection from ekm push to pvoutput (for v4 owners) will be a great benefit.

Thanks,
David

Jameson,

Thanks for your help in getting the v4 working with Push. I'm amazed that just connecting the meter to the Push and connecting the Push to my network puts all the readings online without any special knowledge or skills on my part. I'll keep that part to myself, though, and everyone here will think I'm some sort of genius for setting up these systems. You probably saw I ordered 5 more meters and another Push for a second location.

Haha! That is some beautiful prose, which brings a joyful tear to my eye. I am going to frame it and put it on our wall and point at it for everyone that comes by to see!! :D

Here it is again:

This is exactly what we have spent years of development, blood, sweat, and tears to accomplish, so thanks for putting it into words. We are very happy with how the system has turned out and how truly scalable the system is because of easy installs like this. Next step, data presentation...

Hi, sorry for opening an old thread but this is what i want to ask:
Can i install a single omnimeter and send net power use to pvoutput.org with ekm push?
i have pv inverter installed on a sub-board in my house sending generation directly to pvoutput.org.
I need a meter which is bi-directional so that to record correctly consuption and send it to pvoutput.

At this point the pvoutput.org interface to our API only takes in "Total Watts" it does not take the direction of current on each line into account (this is available from the v.4 meters themselves and via the Push API). So we will have to work with pvoutput.org to update their API interface.

So you may see 2000 watts when you use pvoutput.org But you will not know if this is 2000 watts forward or 2000 watts reverse. With the new API interface this would be fixed.

Hope this helps.

so only v4 meter will do the job if the pvoutput.org Api is updated?
