Do you still have the EKM-25EDSP-N v.2 Pulse input meter now that you have the new Omnimeter Pulse v.4?
Can it accept pulses from non-EKM pulse output meters?
EKM-25EDSP-N v.2
Re: EKM-25EDSP-N v.2
Hello alfredbhulai!
Welcome to the forum and happy holidays!
The EKM-Omnimeter Pulse v.4 is the new replacement for the EKM-25EDSP-N. It is an upgrade in every way.
Yes the Omnimeter Pulse v.4 can count pulses from non-EKM pulse output devices. Any dry contact or unpowered switch closing can be counted by the 3 separate Pulse Counting Inputs.
You can count 3 different water meters and gas meter pulses or you could count things like opening doors (as well as if the door is now open or closed), cars passing by on a street, products on an assembly line, etc. This can all be done remotely over the internet with our EKM Dash software.
Here are some improvements to the Omnimeter Pulse v.4 that pertain to pulse counting:
We have also improved the communication speed (to 9600 baud up from 1200 baud).
The Pulse Counting Inputs also report the real-time state of the input (open or closed)
This is a universal electric meter so it can be powered on systems from 120 volts 2 wire to 480 volts 3-phase 4-wire. This gives flexibility to where this meter can be installed.
You can set the Pulse Counting Ratio from 1:1 (for every 1 pulse counted the meter will increment 1) to 9999:1 (for every 9999 pulses counted the meter will increment 1)
You can now select which values you want to see displayed on the face of the v.4 meter. You can select to only show the 3 pulse counts if you want to. (choose from 1 to 40 values)
We are working to integrate the v.4 meters with the EKM Push system
Here is the v.4 meter spec sheet: http://documents.ekmmetering.com/EKM-Om ... -Sheet.pdf
