Hello whenao80,

Welcome to the forum.

The "Basic" Meter you have will only display "Total Kilowatt Hours". This is the total amount of energy that has been measured by the meter since it was installed. To determine how much energy has been used for a month you will have to subtract the kWh read from the beginning of the month from the kWh read at the end of the month.

For example:

kWh Read at the end of the month : 14765.42 kWh
-
kWh Read at the beginning of the month: 12789.75 kWh

=

kWh for the month: 1975.67 kWh

Cost of electricity is 8.67 cents/ kWh

(1975.67 * .0867) =

Cost of electricity for the month: $171.29

Let us know if you have any questions.

Jameson
