Non-Volatile Memory in Pulse V.4

I am using an Omnimeter Pulse V.4 with Dash software to collect kWhr and water meter pulse data on an hourly basis. X-bee radio link from remote with RS-485 to EKM Blink to adapt to USB for a desktop computer in the office.

I experienced an extended power failure at the site a few days ago (for about 36 hrs.) and when the power was restored, the Omnimeter data displayed in the Dash utility shows the kWhr. data as properly accumulated but it looks like my pulse data from the water meter was lost and the counter was reset to zero.

Are the pulse inputs not backed up in non-volatile memory in the Ominmeter Pulse v.4?

Hello Ezzie,

Yes, you are right, that certainly should not have happened. The pulse counts are stored in FRAM on the meter, they should be good for 30 years without power. Can you tell me your meter number? Id like to see what generation it is.

Sorry about this. If it ever happens again, please let us know!

OK thanks. The meter was just purchased in November so is relatively new. Serial# 350005381.
