Encompass.io Goal/Info widget

Post by Gman34798 » Fri Nov 14, 2014 6:33 am

Is there a trick to getting this widget to work? I have entered my date of last bill, cost and usage which calculated my rate in "settings", but the widget still shows zero usage for this billing period, which is nearly a week old.

Hey Gman,

There aren't a lot of users at this point because Encompass is still in beta and not advertised anywhere on the EKM Metering website. It is only offered to customers who purchase an EKM Push.

Regarding the issue you're having, I'm not entirely sure what is happening. Are you saving your settings after you make changes to the pricing? When you go to the dashboard and then back to the settings page are your settings still there? What date did you save for the billing period? If you add screenshots of what you're seeing it might help me.

Also, if you want to email us at info@ekmmetering.com and let us know who you are we could try to recreate the issue on our end.

Thanks for the reply...in the settings screen, all values are retained once I return to the screen to view/edit them.
I selected 11-09-14 for the billing date, 408 kWh consumption and $56.03 for total charges. The program calculated my rate to be 0.1373/kWh which is correct.

I can post some screen shots later on once I get home from work, but the above mentioned entries are what shows on the screenshot of my settings.

Any ideas? Hey, this is beta testing, right!!

Best regards,
Greg

Hi Greg,

I tried to recreate the issue in my account but wasn't able to. I set up my settings like you explained but was able to get the cost to show on my dashboard. Yes, please post some screenshots of your settings as well as what you see on you dashboard.

Also, what operating system and browser are you using?

Thanks,

Adam

Hi Greg,

So the issue turned out to be on our end. For some reason your Push data wasn't being summarized. This is a secondary Push process, which is why your real-time data was still available in Encompass. We will soon be transitioning Encompass away from our development summary server and to a much more robust production summary system. This should make the whole system much more reliable.

All historical widgets (Info, Calendar, Comparison Chart) should now be working normally. Go ahead and log in to your Encompass account and confirm that you are seeing data on your historical widgets.

Thanks for your patience!

Sorry but I can't make it work or see the EKM push box. And what's with this giant code for the meter?? does it contain O's and 0's ? as it is in gray print it difficult to figure out . Do you have to add your meter number also?

I would find the original email we would have sent you when you bought the Push that contains your EKM Push key, then I would copy and paste this key into encompass.io when you are setting it up. If you have the correct key, encompass will figure out all of the meters in your account automatically.

If you send us your meter number we can look up your Push for you to see how it is working.

Thanks,
Jameson
