Time of Use Reports

Post by Nevland »

Trying to make sense of these readings. Can you tell me where these numbers come from and what they mean.
For example Total Kwh on the meeter read 13527 on 10-1-12 Read out on reports showed Total Kwh as 12848.

Hello Bill,

The very best from our perspective will be to have everyone transition to the EKM Dash. The Dash is still a work in progress, but will certainly be better than the Reader moving forward. Here is a link to the Dash: http://www.ekmmetering.com/ekmdash

If you have already paid for the full version of the EKM Reader you are entitled to the full version of the EKM Dash. We will be releasing significant updates from time to time.

The 6 months of Monthly Reads are reads the meter takes once a month on the last day of the month. In the Reader the decimal is displayed in the wrong place. The Omnimeter v.3 meters' kWh read should have 1 decimal place.

Hope this helps,
Jameson

I think you missed the point of the question I asked.

Total KWH on the 6 month report is different from the total KWH on the normal meter read out on the same day.
What does the Total KWH reading on the report for the last month mean ? Where does it come from ?

Bill

PS the numbers are the same when I read it out using the Dash software.

Hello Bill,

The Meter takes the "6 Months of Monthly Reads" meter reading on the last day of the month at midnight. This is according to the meter's internal clock. Is it possible that you were messing with the meter time? It seems like it took its "6 Months of Monthly Reads" reading a bit early. If you had the meter time set a few days early, it could take the "6 Months of Monthly Reads" a few days early. Then if you corrected the time, this could cause the issue. Do you see what I am getting at?

Is that the nature of your question? Best way to see if this is really an issue is to leave the meter time set to the correct local time, and see what happens at the end of this month.

Regards,
Jameson
