Hello Maxim!

Welcome to the forum! :!:

Yes, we would be happy to help you in any way that we can. We have meters that can measure any common electrical system in the world. Please let us know more about your electrical, water, or gas metering system. Our EKM Omnimeter can be read as often as once every second. So 30 seconds or 5 minutes is no problem.

We can also share the serial RS485 protocol with you. Here is a discussion on the forum that is a good start: http://forum.ekmmetering.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=5

The very best way to learn how this works will be to download our EKM Dash software. You can use this software to read your meters as often as you like. The EKM Dash also has a feature called "Hex Inspector". This allows you to see how to create an RS485 meter request and to "see" the meter's RS485 response. By using this tool you will be able to see exactly how to read your meters and to make settings. Here is more info about the EKM Dash software: http://www.ekmmetering.com/ekmdash

If you have any questions, please let us know.

Jameson,

i need Electric Meter that can give me information of how many watts I used. and then that he could send me the data via the serial RS485 protocol.

i will be happy if you can tell me what products i need to buy (what Electric meter, what Meter Reading).

EKM Dash software - it is free or i need to buy it?

p.s: send me please some example of serial RS485 protocol to my mail: maximus.1987@gmail.com

Maxim,

Here is a link to the Omnimeter v.3 meter RS485 protocol: http://documents.ekmmetering.com/Meter_ ... ter_v3.pdf

This protocol includes watts, kilowatt hours, and a host of other metered parameters.

The EKM Dash comes with a free 30 day trial, the full version is $30. Here is the Dash page again: http://www.ekmmetering.com/ekmdash

Please tell us more about your electrical system, is it single phase or 3-phase? Please include amperage, size of your wire, etc. Do you want to read your meters over the internet or with a USB converter? We can then better determine the metering system you need.

Regards,
Jameson

Hello,

Ok i am understand.

I need single phase, 230V, 50H, read your meters over the internet and RS485.

I need Electric Meter that can show me how many watts I used through a one wall outlet.

And that information from Electric Meter I could read through the Internet and via RS485, and can be read through the USB but not necessarily.

P.S: I need to used that Electric Meter in Israel.

Thanks

Hello Maxim,

To meter just one circuit of 230 volts 50Hz (we would consider this a foreign 230 volt 2-wire system) you will need just one EKM Omnimeter and 1 CT.

For a wiring video of 1 EKM Omnimeter and 1 CT please see this video: http://www.ekmmetering.com/information/ ... ml#answer5

To connect your meter to the internet you can either use our EKM Push (recommended, easiest to install and to read): http://www.ekmmetering.com/push-communications

or our EKM-iSerial: http://www.ekmmetering.com/ekm-metering ... ction.html

Best regards,
Jameson

Thank you,

Can you give me a link to EKM Omnimeter, of which you speak? because they are many, and I do not know which of the.

what is 1 CT? (give me please link to it)

and what is best for me "EKM Push Pro Communication System" or "EKM-Push Communication System"

thanks

Here is a link to our EKM-Omnimeter I v.3:
http://www.ekmmetering.com/ekm-metering ... 60-hz.html

Any of our CTs (current transformers) will work for you with this meter (provided your wire will fit through them and your system amperage is less than the rating of the CT). Here is our full selection: http://www.ekmmetering.com/ekm-metering ... s-cts.html

Here is a solid core 200 amp 13mm CT: http://www.ekmmetering.com/ekm-metering ... 3-200.html

If you are going to be installing from 1 to 50 meters at a given site I would go with the EKM Push ($100): http://www.ekmmetering.com/ekm-push-com ... ystem.html

If you have any questions, please let us know.

Hi Jameson,

I have another problem. :? :? :?

How i can read information from Electric Meter with microcontroller without a computer.

I need to read with microcontroller that I can limit the number of watts that are used via a single wall outlet.

I need that information from the Electric Meter will be transmitted directly to a microcontroller without a computer.

How i can do it :?: You have such means :?:

Thanks.
