building a 2nd basement unit

Post by ursusp »

I am building a basement unit and plan to rent it out separately. I will use one master meter but need to track water usage for the 2nd unit remotely.

We are installing plumbing now so can you suggest the most cost effective solution? Is it a 3/4 inch pulse output with Omnimeter pulse v4? is there a cheaper solution?

Do i have to buy the push package to get the reading remotely?

thanks..

Yes I would recommend at minimum that you get a 3/4" Water Meter, an EKM Omnimeter Pulse v.4 and and EKM Push. This is the most economical and easiest way to get your water meter data remotely. When you have this system in place, your EKM Push will read your Omnimeter Pulse v.4 once per minute and post this data including your water meter pulse count data to your EKM Push account for free.

There are no ongoing fees or costs for this system.

Here is a good place to start for more information about water metering: http://www.ekmmetering.com/solutions/da ... oring.html

Let me know if you have any questions at all,
