New EKM Metering API Docs

Post by Jameson »

Over the last couple of months we’ve developed the next version of our API docs. These are meant to more clearly lay out the EKM Push API and the EKM Omnimeter protocol (including code examples).

We’ve only just soft released the new documentation to our customers and developer friends. We would be grateful if anyone here on the forum would take a look to see if this is a tool that would work for you. If you notice anything that could be improved or added we would love to hear about it. Even if you only give it a cursory glance and send us a little feedback that would be invaluable.

You can find the new documentation here: http://documents.ekmmetering.com/api-docs/

We appreciate your help with this and hope you find it useful. Thanks!

Im assuming with any API changes , that any and all scripts built for the community will no longer function.

If we develop a new version of the API, we would always attempt to keep the older version of the API running for some time (1 or 2 years or more would be my guess). All of our software solutions (the EKM Dash, the EKM Widget, and encompass.io) use the current version of the API. If we planned to obsolete the current version of the API, we would send out a warning to the known users of our API, to let them know them know they have a certain amount of time to incorporate the latest version of the API into their systems.
