EKM Metering

I have an Omnimeter V.3 installed at home. Im using EKM Dash software to comunicate and its runs very good when I am inside the LAN area. However I tried to comunicate from outside the LAN and I can´t. What I did I open the port 50000 in the modem and write the public IP of my modem and the same port 50000 in the EKM Dash meter set up.

Could I have some help on this..

It sounds like you have the networking concepts correct and that you can read your meters over your LAN.

Do you have a Static IP or a Dynamic IP address? You can verify your public IP address by going to: http://www.whatsmyip.org/

Are you able to Ping your IP? Are you able to perform a Port Scan to verify that the port is open?
