For those who are using the EKM PUSH and uploading to the http://collector3.ekmmetering.com server you are now able to relay your Power "P" data to the PVOutput.org website using the Auto Uploader Service for EKM Meters.
This will give you graphical representation of your Power data for either Consumption and/or Generation although you will need a seperate meter for each (Consumption & Generation) as the service cannot determine which direction the Power is flowing at any given time (in the case of the OmniMeter). Your data will be accumulated over the day and is presented as an aggregate of your daily consumption and/or generation. PVOutput has many other features and customisations that will enhance your experience, its certainly a very capable site for data analysis and recording.
More information is available here: https://getsatisfaction.com/pvoutput/to ... e_ekmmeter and http://pvoutput.org/about.html.
The PVOutput service is totally free but you will need to register and site administrator does accept donations for the ongoing development of the site, upkeep, maintenance and servers etc.......so if you find the service is useful to your needs please consider making a donation to this truly awesome site.

Re: EKM PUSH to PVOutput.org - Auto Uploader Service
ePower I can't see what your post has to do with the EKM PUSH system as the thread title implies, your post is totally OFF TOPIC.
I noticed that you already posted about this software elsewhere in this forum but have not indicated if your offering is OSX, Linux or PC based, will it need a computer and serial server running 24/7? Is it a free offering?
The PUSH system negates the need to use a serial server and computer running 24/7 and consumes less than a handful of watts.
I can view the information on PVOutput from anywhere in the world, do not need my own server and certainly do need a computer and serial server running 24/7 just my PUSH device.
Needless to say I now view your approach with multiple posts of the same information on this forum as nothing more than SPAM.

Re: EKM PUSH to PVOutput.org - Auto Uploader Service
Yes I did and was actually wondering why you didn't take your own adice and post in that area rather than HiJacking several threads to peddle your wares.I am not sure if you have noticed that there is a Shameless Plugs section, the forum owners appear not to have an issue on plugging a product, so what exactly is your issue!!!
PUSH merely provides a gateway and yes PVOutput can calculate costs based on tariff rates at time of use, so yes you can compare power bills from utility companies.Consider this though, can the push or pvoutput do anything like the examples I have given in the screen shots, can they calculate costs based on tariff rates at time of use, can they compare power bills from utility company to the accuracy of the EKM meter recordings by ePower?
PVOutput is more than just pretty graphs as you put it, so its obvious you have spent little if any time looking at its functionality - and NO I don't know what you mean.If all that is wanted is a pretty graph then sure, use the tools available to do that, EKM Push, Tranergy (you know what I mean) I know some one who has a push server (not EKM's) and uploads to pv output, been doing this for a while, also has ePower.
People have choices, people can only make choices based on what they know is available, I am letting people know ePower is available, same way YOU are letting people know PV Otput is available what is the difference!!
Totally agrre that people are entitled to have a choice what I do not agree with spammers HiJacking threads that are totally unrelated to the subject title in order to peddle their own wares (obviously at a price you are not prepared to divulge).
I have no affiliation to PVOutput except to bring the the newly developed FREE service to the attention of EKM PUSH users that wish to use it and the difference is I didn't HiJack a totally unrelated thread as you have now done on several occassions
Re: EKM PUSH to PVOutput.org - Auto Uploader Service
I wanted to let you folks know how awesome this is. We absolutely encourage others to utilize the meters or EKM Push data for this exact type of application. A perfect addition.
I have been playing with sending EKM Push data to PVOutput.org for the last few days. It works great! It is really set and forget, it just works.
Here is a link to our feed: http://www.pvoutput.org/intraday.jsp?id ... t=20121022
This is using demo EKM Omnimeter #: 10068 with demo EKM Push User Key: MTAxMDoyMDIw
The best part about this is, you do not have to have a computer running for this to work. The EKM Push gateway is reading your meters and sending them to the EKM Push database. PVOutput is automatically accessing your data (using your EKM meter number and EKM Push User Key) and then graphing and storing these reads. You can then fire up your computer at anytime from anywhere in the world to see all of your meter data.
Screenshot from PVOutput.org (this is for energy consumption only, we will set up a solar generation feed soon): Screenshot of Settings needed to setup your EKM Push account: Instructions for setting up PVOutput to pull data directly from your EKM Push account:
Thanks,

- Create and account at PVOutput.com
Create a New Output
Edit your Output (this is next to your system name under "Edit")
Go to "Automatic Uploads"
Select Primary Device: EKMMeter
Select Production or Consumption
Put your "EKM Push User Key" in the API Key field
Enter your EKM Meter Number that is connected to your EKM Push
Wait about 20 minutes (if it is setup wrong it will say "This system has no live data on **such and such date**"
Takes just a few minutes.
Thanks,

Here is a link to an EKM PUSH feed to PVOutput.org displaying Consumption, Generation & Voltage using 2 meters - 1 for Consumption & 1 for Generation: http://pvoutput.org/intraday.jsp?id=15051&sid=12913
Re: EKM PUSH to PVOutput.org - Auto Uploader Service
SolarSentry, thank you for the link to the Consumption and Generation feed.
We have come up with a little tutorial to help EKM Push users configure their PVOutput.org account. Here is a link to the .pdf file: http://documents.ekmmetering.com/How-to ... ut.org.pdf

Re: EKM PUSH to PVOutput.org - Auto Uploader Service
PVOutput will now accept EKM Omnimeter V.3 as a Secondary Device as well as a Primary device.
This will benefit any users that wish to upload data directly to PVOutput using any Primary Device listed - Flukso, COSM, Enphase, Weather, TED5000, Wattvision, WebBox, EKMMeter and wishing to add an EKM Omnimeter V.3 as a Secondary Device for a different purpose.
For instance you could be using an SMA WebBox to upload your Solar Generation as a Primary Device and Upload your Consumption Data using the EKM Omnimeter V.3 via the PUSH Gateway as the Secondary Device.
Nice Tutorial on using PVOutput Jameson, you might want to update it when you have some time to include the new feature.

Re: EKM PUSH to PVOutput.org - Auto Uploader Service
I have just installed an EKM system in my Villa. I intend to use it to monitor consumption by holiday guests. As I will not necessarily have a computer on 24/7 I have registered it with PVOutput to keep records of the reads. One strange thing, though, unless I have misunderstood something, is that the Total electricity consumption shown by PVOutput is calculated by the website by (presumably) integrating the power figures over the day. This works fine EXCEPT when (as happened to us yesterday), the PUSH system stopped sending reads for half the day. The graph appears to have a whole day's consumption on it, but there is a chunk missing from 10:45 am to 8:30 pm. As a result, the consumption for the day looks like 9.5 kWh when it in fact was 16 kWh. My question is: as the PUSH data includes a total consumption figure, could this not be shown on the PVoutput listing? Thanks.
Re: EKM PUSH to PVOutput.org - Auto Uploader Service
andynbradshaw,
I would imagine that you are correct. It seems like the PVOutput auto uploader only takes real-time "watt" data from the EKM Push system. They then use this to calculate "Kilowatt Hour" data, rather than taking the "Kilowatt Hour Data" directly from the EKM Push system, which is more accurate. That way, if you were to lose connection the "Kilowatt Hour Data" would be accurate and reliable. For now tracking your Kilowatt Hour data will be best done with the EKM Dash, as this retrieves Kilowatt Hour data directly (with no calculation).
Best,
