EKM - 25EDS - N v.2 - Correct wiring for UK Single Phase 240

Hi,

I want to check that I have wired my meter up correctly for the UK 240v single phase supply.

Here is what I have

Single CT connected into the terminals 1/2 Monitoring the Live (L)
NO CT connected to terminals 3/4

Live connected to 7
Neutral connected to 8

The meter shows the correct voltage ~245-250
The amps looks correct.

It seems to be working correctly, Except that it dosn't appear to be tracking the utility meter.

Best regards
Steve

Hello Steve,

I assume that you have the old EKM-25EDSP-N (considered a North American meter, though it can be fudged to work with your power) is this correct? Or do you have the EKM-23EDS (this meter is for foreign 2-wire systems)?

Thanks,

Hi,

Its the EKM-25EDSP-N

(Wanted this one as two of the pulse counts are connected to east/west solar arrays AC100 meters)

Have I got the fudge correct the N/L into the 7/8 pins?
Thanks

Steve,

The 25EDSP-N is designed as a US power meter (we have replaced this meter with the Universal Omnimeter Pulse v.4 that will work with any system in the world)

In order to have the 25EDSP-N work on your UK 230 volt 2-wire system, you will need to use 1 CT (it sounds like you have your meter connected properly) and you will need to DOUBLE the kWh value the meter reports.

Let us know if this helps.

Hi Jameson,

Doubling the value looks much closer than before. I will run a few tests over the next few days to let you know how it goes. Presumably I also need to double the reverse KWh.

Many thanks.
