As far as I can tell from the website, the I supports higher voltages, the II supports a higher communications speed, and otherwise their specs are identical. The I is also cheaper. What am I missing? Thank you!

Hey there Myself248,
Welcome to the forum.
Here is a helpful chart that compares the 3 different EKM-Omnimeter models:
http://documents.ekmmetering.com/Omnime ... -Chart.pdf
All of our Omnimeters communicate at the same speed (9600 baud)
The main differences between the Omnimeter I and the Omnimeter II UL are:
Omnimeter I
Higher voltage rating (up to 480 volts line to line)
Smaller Size
$160
Omnimeter II UL
UL Listed
Larger Size
Larger Voltage Reference Terminal Blocks
10 Year Warranty
$190
If you do not need the UL Listing or the 10 year warranty, I would go with the Omnimeter I v.3. But I would also make sure you check out the Omnimeter Pulse v.4 (Pulse Counting and Control)
If you have any questions, please let us know.
Thanks,
