Hi and thanks in advance.
I purchased the meter to establish consumption and planning for solar projects. The tech sheet says memory can never be erased but I want to move the meter from appliance to appliance. Any guidance?

All of our electric meters have a non-resettable Total kWh register.

Your EKM 25IDS cannot be reset to zero (this is a tamperproof feature of revenue grade meters). If you were to want to know how many kWh were metered from a given time, you would note the kWh at the beginning of the time period and then subtract this from the kWh at the end of the time period.

For example, if I wanted to know the kWh metered from April 5th to April 10th (1500kWh for example), I would note the kWh on April 5th, and then I would subtract this from the kWh on April 10th (2000kWh for example).

2000 - 1500 = 500 kWh metered during this time period.

Our Omnimeter Pulse v.4 meters do have a separate register called the "Resettable kWh" register. This register can be reset to zero at any time (like the trip odometer in a car). You have to use the EKM Dash software and a USB converter to do this though.

The solar pump you need will depend on what you are trying to do. You will need to know:

What is the pressure?
What is the required flow?
What is the diameter of your pipe?
AC or DC?
Direct Solar Powered?
Efficiency requirements?

Im sure there are other questions.

There is a big difference between a solar powered fountain water pump and a solar powered well water pump. Please be more specific about your needs.
